A have had a same issue for Windows XP with SQL Server 2008 Express installed.
Additionally, I created some of the folders manually during the installation configuration process(%Program Files%\IBM\IBMIMShared, %Program Files%\IBM\Installation Manager etc.) Otherwise, I got the message: &quot;Acces denied&quot; or something, all the time.</description>
