Good to hear that. I am still pining for a trackball where the pointer is manipulated by the forefinger. I think I am in the minority when I say that is more comfortable and accurate than trackballs that use the thumb.

I might give in and but the m570. I am still thinking about it though as I might still be able to salvage my trackman.

Thanks! Btw, I was able to buy one from Tipid PC, but it’s a trackman marble for 1k. The M570 is available in Tipid PC or Sulit as well.

The wireless ones are quite pricey. Saw the two types in your link in Octagon Glorietta, but couldn’t find it in any other stores or Octagon branches. There’s a lack of demand for trackball in our market.

I havent replaced my trackball yet. The ones available here are a bit pricey and I want something similar to what I used to have[1]. I have seen this being peddled at around Php3500 before.

I might order this[2] online and just have it shipped via Johnny Air.

hi nick, the task of changing the root password is not feasible until you have it booted to a state that you can already issue commands. that is reason why i had to run the fsck command in my linux desktop.

I found the root problem too.
$sudo su
#passwd root

…and it’s now accessible.

Thanks Dhon. The first pi is really intended to be a stopgap streaming server until I get to have a 2-bay NAS device as I have already crashed a caviar green drive when I had it operational everyday (boot at night, shutdown next morning).

The other RPi is intended to be a xbmc/game emulation console for the TV downstairs. I still need to figure out how to do a switch mechanism or if I can integrate custom commands or screens with the xbmc UI.
