The closest alternative that I found and currently use is PsPad<\/a> which has most of the functionalities offered by UltraEdit, and then some.<\/p>\n Since my work brings me into contact with a lot of XML-type of content, the built-in tidy<\/a> support is very useful especially if I want to do comparison (but I use WinMerge <\/a>for that).
