The blog spammers are here, and hitting this blog at the rate of 20 spam messages per day. Calling these spammers as pesky mosquitoes is not apt. They are more like rabid dogs that have already bitten to a bone and would not let go.
*Sigh* time to clean up, or turn off the automatic notification so I dont get so much spam confirmation on my mailbox. 🙁

hey Erin,
i suppose you are using WordPress 2.x? if you are, you can either use Akismet or the more interactive Did You Pass Math plugins to keep spammers out…

yup. i was reading about anti-spam measures but unfortunately i cannot access the cpanel from the office (my sole source of internet connection).
since i noticed that the spam post were coming from a single IP address, i just added it in the blacklist. no spam for two weeks. 😀

I use Spam Karma 2 on my blog and haven’t seen a bit of spam since installing it. Apparently it’s caught 627 spams on my blog!

hi tyme!
unfortunately my connection does not allow me to access the console of my host. one of my to do list when i get internet access at home is to install some anti-spam measures for this blog.
